Malcolm Spellman is currently the writer on CAPTAIN AMERICA 4 and was the Executive Producer of Marvel's hit series FALCON/WINTER SOLDIER for Disney+. Malcolm was Co-Executive Producer on the first three seasons on the hit show EMPIRE, and was an Executive Producer on the six part docuseries, HIP HOP UNCOVERED for FX and Apple TV's TRUTH BE TOLD starring Octavia Spencer. He is currently Executive Producer of BEL AIR, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air reboot. Malcolm also has various features and animated projects in development, as well as music driven documentaries in development with 51B, the unscripted division of The 51 Entertainment.
On the music side, Malcolm runs Blackball Universe, an indie record label in Oakland whose artist, Fantastic Negrito, won the 2017, 2019 and 2021 Grammy Awards for "Best Contemporary Blues” Album.
Nichelle Tramble Spellman wrote the feature ROCKAWAY, with Kerry Washington attached to star, in development with Netflix through Simpson Street and 3 Dot Films Productions. She Created and Executive Produced three seasons of the critically-acclaimed series TRUTH BE TOLD, starring Octavia Spencer on Apple TV+. She won an NAACP Award for writing the pilot. She spent three years on the staff of CBS's THE GOOD WIFE, and staffed on FX's JUSTIFIED and SNOWFALL, among other series. Her other writing endeavors include a four-hour for HBO, a limited series for FX and the feature IN EVERY WAY for Double E Pictures. Nichelle is also a crime novelist who wrote THE DYING GROUND and its sequel THE LAST KING, for Random House / Ballantine Books. Nichelle sits on the Board of Directors for Black Girls Film Camp, and founded the charity DORM KEY for inbound college students.
Toni Natalizio has been an industry professional for over 15 years working in Television, Film and Broadway. She started her career in features, working at Columbia Pictures as well as at several production companies including Arad Productions and Out of the Blue Entertainment. She then went on to help produce Broadway musical Holler If Ya Hear Me and later segued into TV, working in the production department on such Showtime shows as Ray Donovan, House of Lies, and Californication. She next ventured into the writers’ department working alongside such talents as Hart Hanson, Shonda Rhimes and Nichelle Tramble Spellman. Toni joined The 51 Entertainment in 2018 as a Creative Executive combining her passions for development, writing and production and is now currently a Vice President of Development and Production. Toni graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Cinematic Arts.
Tami joined The 51 Entertainment in 2018 to develop out our rich pre-existing slate of projects, expand our creative footprint in features, animation, unscripted series, doc features and podcasts.
Prior to becoming the VP, of Development for 51 and 51B, Tami began her development and producing career with Robert and Michelle King and King Sized Productions at CBS.
Ayla L. Montgomery (she/her) is a Los Angeles native and USC alumni whose television career began in 2007 at BET’s Animation department. Since then, she has worked as a producer, documentary filmmaker, editor, social media strategist and is now serving as a Creative Executive at the 51.
Christine Macedo joined The 51 Entertainment in 2021. Prior to this, she worked in entertainment business management and produced and directed live theater in and around Los Angeles’ famed NoHo Arts District. She also has a background in broadcast radio as on-air talent. Christine graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Eli B. Dansky serves as Creative Consultant to The 51 Entertainment; a multi-faceted role as an on-call contributor to The 51 team's in-house creative strategy, directly supporting select development and production, with a primary focus of combining his current work as a writer -- he worked most recently as Story Editor on staff for a prospective first season of a TBA 51-produced series -- and former role as the company's senior exec who oversaw its launch and first 5 years of growth.
Prior to the 51 Entertainment, Eli worked closely with mentor, friend and showrunner Ben Watkins, as Watkins' Producing Partner, and Director of Development under Watkins' Blue Monday Productions banner from 2014-2018. Previously, he cultivated varied experience in a variety of cause-oriented arenas, primarily political organizing and philanthropy: as Director of Communications for progressive youth activism campaign Generation for Change; as President, Executive Campaign Committee, of Californians for a Cure (Yes on 29, 2011-2012); Public Policy Advisor to Stand Up 2 Cancer's Executive Director (2010-2012) and as a writer on the cancer research nonprofit's first nationally televised signature fundraising events (SU2C 2008, 2010). Eli cut his teeth as an aspiring writer on USA’s Burn Notice and before that, as a grunt worker, part time asst and minimal contributor to periodicals from Rolling Stone to Dime and FHM while pursuing his BA at Eugene Lang College of The New School University in NYC.
